“All Blues”, is a reinterpretation/cover of Miles Davis by MONODUKE & I.

Dashgo asked us to make a track for an amazing official Miles Davis tribute project about a year ago and I’m honored to be a part. I immediately knew I wanted to collaborate with MONODUKE on this one. The full album is coming early 2023.

We chose to use “All Blues” as a blueprint / inspiration, because it is one of the most prolific jazz compositions of all time. Its the testimony of nothing less then Miles’ innovative spirit in full force. Merging the roots of jazz and blues with modern impressionist sounds from the 20th century.

Miles teaches us so much. To always stay fresh and remain open to everything new. He is the blueprint for creative bandleadership letting all his bandmembers shine at their full potential.

At first it felt like sacrilege to touch upon a composition this prolific but while creating this track together we tried to keep it very simple and it felt right for both of us.
